MEET PASTOR GENE

Meet Pastor Gene Seelow

Associate Pastor

Gene Seelow was born in Neillsville, WI and moved to the Milwaukee area while still in grade school and eventually met Cindy, his wife of 39 years. Cindy was first to accept Christ as her personal Savior and through much prayer, Gene found the Lord in March of 1986. They now have three children and eight grandchildren.

After more than 36 years of being a truck driver, Gene felt the spirit’s prompting to retire his life long career and pursue God’s work. Gene and Cindy have been attending here since 2004. In 2005, Gene was asked to lead and organize visitation for the Pastoral Care Ministry on a volunteer basis. He has also been involved in men’s Bible study, Small Group Ministry, and teaches an adult Sunday School class. Gene was willing to volunteer in almost any area while continuing to pray and seek the call he knew God had on his life concerning ministry. In the fall of 2008, God made this journey very clear when Gene was asked to join the staff. He has also been asked to lead in Men’s Ministries, Adult Education, and Honor Society.

Gene’s aspirations for the visitation ministry are that each person in need would obtain weekly visits. These visits are meant to be encouraging, uplifting, and a time of fellowship for those that need it. When Gene started this ministry, he desired to be a blessing to others but quickly found out he was the one being blessed. It has been a joy to serve the family of God.
